A word to parents about schedules...
Crossfield Minor Baseball is a community-based, recreational league that is proudly 100% volunteer run. We are part of the Chinook Baseball Association, which includes several surrounding communities such as Cremona, Carstairs, Trochu, Sundre, Standard, and others. Because we coordinate with multiple towns, diamonds, and schedules, planning takes time and collaboration across the association.
For this reason, game schedules are typically not finalized until mid-April. Learn-to-Play and T-Ball schedules may be released earlier, as those divisions do not travel or require inter-town coordination. We always work to share schedules as soon as they are confirmed and appreciate your patience as we finalize details.
It’s also important to understand the difference between our league and competitive programs such as Airdrie Stars or Olds Spitfires. Those are competitive AA/AAA streams, with fees typically ranging from $1,000-$2,200+. Crossfield Minor Baseball is a recreational league focused on accessibility, development, and community. We are able to keep our fees significantly lower because we are volunteer-driven. Registration fees, grants, and fundraising directly support field rentals, equipment, uniforms, insurance, and our scheduling platform.
Coaching and team support are provided by trained volunteers, and we rely on families to step up and contribute in various volunteer roles throughout the season. Our league only works because of community involvement.
Our goal is simple: to foster a love of baseball, build confidence and leadership, and create a positive, fun experience for every player.
We appreciate your support and understanding as we work together to make the season a success.
